Crown & Consequence
Rule well. Or at least rule long.
You are the new monarch of a small, stubborn kingdom. Every day the court brings you a question, and you answer by swiping a card left or right. Should you tax the harvest, pardon the thief, marry the foreign prince, or let the inventor test his wings off the tallest tower?
Features
- Well over a thousand cards, voiced by a court of bishops, generals, jesters, witches, spies, a dragon, a royal giraffe and a stranger with a very attractive contract.
- Multi-part sagas that span years and even generations, such as The Lost Prince, The Long Winter, The Clockwork Saint and The Black Knight. A story you leave unfinished passes to your heir.
- A living realm. The kingdom behind the cards changes with your rule: chapels grow into cathedrals, villages burn in unrest, walls rise and the counting house turns to gold. Tap any building to hear what its people think of you.
- A dynasty that remembers. Marry, raise heirs (or regents, if they're young), and earn renown from long reigns and finished sagas. Spend it on heirlooms, tutors, envoys and royal matches for the next ruler. With no heir left, the great houses fight over the crown.
- 26 ways to die, each with its own epithet. Will history remember you as the Beloved, the Crunchy, or the Aeronaut?
- Goals, crises and rising stakes. Each ruler gets two goals to chase, crises strike after the fourth year, and every decision weighs a little heavier as the years pass.
- A Daily Challenge. Everyone gets the same reign each day. How long can you last?
- Achievements, a Chronicle of every ruler in your line, and a tally of how each of your rulers met their end.
